allow 5 business days for the
process to be ready for
shipping. I got the email
confirming shipping on Monday

that I should allow a total of

Monday 15th Feb. So for me,

I think that these degrees will
not work for a Visa because you
need a nationally accredited
college degree when applying for
a visa to Canada. Degree from
instantdegrees.com are legal,
but they are not nationally
accredited, which (despite
common belief) is not a legal
requirement.

degree. Lots of schools do not
have National or Regional
Accreditation in the US for two
reasons.
(1) It is VERY expensive to
apply for.
(2) NA or RA does not guarantee
course quality or credit
transfer. These are both common
myths promoted by Accredited
schools.
(3) In the USA, the ONLY thing
that National or Regional
Accreditation guarantees is
access to some Federal funding.
That's it.
Many smaller colleges and
universities simply cannot
afford the process as it
literally costs tens of
thousands of dollars to accredit
each module of a degree course.
This is why smaller schools tend
to lean towards Private
Accreditation or just NO
Accreditation at all.
That's my two cents.

I got my initial degree order delivered in my hands about 10 days after placing the order. That was back in 2004. I ordered Transcripts later in 2005. They took a bit longer to actually receive; about 3 weeks if memory serves. I also got the Apostille. That took about 3 weeks too. I have never has a single problem with any of them. Legality rules!

Well Kingston, I just looked into my emails to give you an accurate answer. I ordered on 2nd Feb which was a Friday. Instantdegrees.com say allow 5 business days for the process to be ready for shipping. I got the email confirming shipping on Monday 8th Feb (so that was faster than they say) and they explained that I should allow a total of 10 business days for delivery. I actually received the package on Monday 15th Feb. So for me, start to finish it was a total of 11 days, of which 7 were actually business days.

I got my life experience based degree through instantdegrees.com and I got what I paid for. The degree was legally granted which is what I wanted. Accreditation was not an issue for me and it has never been an issue. I ordered in 2006 after they had been online over 5 years. I have just ordered another higher degree. I would give two pieces of advice. As stated previously, make sure you understand what you are applying for. First, make sure you understand both private degrees and their legality and the importance (or rather lack of importance) of accreditation. Accreditation is not the guarantee of quality or acceptance that some people would have you believe. What counts is legality, which is what they provide. I think that these degrees will not work for a Visa because you need a nationally accredited college degree when applying for a visa to Canada. Degree from instantdegrees.com are legal, but they are not nationally accredited, which (despite common belief) is not a legal requirement.

Yes, Dave is right. National or Regional Accreditation is not a legal requirement for a college degree. Lots of schools do not have National or Regional Accreditation in the US for two reasons.
(1) It is VERY expensive to apply for.
(2) NA or RA does not guarantee course quality or credit transfer. These are both common myths promoted by Accredited schools.
(3) In the USA, the ONLY thing that National or Regional Accreditation guarantees is access to some Federal funding. That's it.
Many smaller colleges and universities simply cannot afford the process as it literally costs tens of thousands of dollars to accredit each module of a degree course.
This is why smaller schools tend to lean towards Private Accreditation or just NO Accreditation at all.
That's my two cents.

No, instantdegrees.com is not a scam. I ordered from then in 2002 - got what I paid for. Since then I have twice needed the degree verified. The employers both followed the verification instructions to the letter and received verification by mail direct from the university. Accreditation was never an issue.

Actually my job does not require a degree, but the fact that I have one and my employer has successfully verified it helps my image at work.
